WHO WE ARE
Golden Age Tango Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing educational opportunities and health and wellness benefits to veterans, people with disabilities, and other under-served Bay Area residents. We are a dedicated group of Tango teachers, DJs, performers, musicians, event organizers, and other dance aficionados who work hard to expand our community of dancers and those who support them.
OUR MISSION
To empower at-risk populations such as veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities to express themselves through art and movement, particularly social dancing, with friendship and communal support from passionate artists and educators.
VISION
Golden Age Tango Academy encourages each participant to explore his or her potential with our professional staff members through workshops, classes, lectures, performances, community events, mentoring, and other forms of positive social interaction.
VALUES
We strive to develop a healthy, flourishing community by helping each member of our group reach their personal goals and aspirations through art and movement. We actively and warmly welcome all individuals regardless of age, sex, race, disability, religion or belief, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
